The developer of 1131 Teron Rd. has applied to the Committee of Adjustments for a "minor variance" - reduction of the setback on Teron Rd from 6M to 3M.

In summary, the developer is asking to have the Amendment of changing the setback from 3M to 6M approved for the re-zoning by the full City of Ottawa City Council overturned.

The covering letter claims the decision by City Council was "unfortunate" and "...Since that time [when City Council approved the rezoning], the proponent has evaluated the impact of this increase in setback and has arrived at a conclusion, supported by his design and planning experts, that this is too onerous to the future development of the subject property.”

A hearing will be held at 6:30PM on April 15, 2015 at Ben Franklin Place, The Chamber, Main Floor, 101 Centrepointe Drive. Any member of the public can apply to speak for 5 minutes which you can do prior to the hearing.
