Beaverbrook Tree Inventory Course

Do you love the trees of Beaverbrook and have an interest in their well-being? Consider volunteering with NeighbourWoods in Beaverbrook, a community forest stewardship project.

Join the Beaverbrook two-day tree inventory training session on Saturday, June 4 and Sunday, June 5 2022, organized by the Kanata Beaverbrook Community Association (KBCA).

Developed by University of Toronto Forestry professors, the NeighbourWoods© training is for anyone interested in Beaverbrook’s valuable natural resource: our trees. You will learn how to identify tree species and to assess a tree’s health and condition. After the course, you will join a team of volunteers to inventory trees on Beaverbrook streets. Data from the inventory will be used to assess the health of existing trees and to support decisions about future needs.
