2nd Pedal Play Bike Rodeo - 4 June 2017
- Details
Kanata North 04 June 2017, 1-4pm
Planning for the second annual Kanata North Pedal Play Mobile Bike Rodeo is well underway. Last year’s event was a big success with approx participants. Pedal Play is a free mobile bike rodeo where participants of all ages; adults and children (primary and secondary school), will cycle a pre-determined route and participate in a number of fun interactive ‘safety activity’ stations located along the way. Pedal Play participants will learn, practice, and demonstrate their bicycle handling skills in a fun, non-competitive atmosphere.
Participants will learn and practice simple bike maintenance, checking helmets for correct fit, how and when to signal, where they should be on the road, how to share multi-use paths, how to change their gears when climbing, and how to navigating turns and round-abouts. Children must be accompanied by a parent or designated adult (also on a bike).
Volunteers are also needed to help in a variety of capacities.
Please visit the website, which will be updated as more information becomes available, for details:
